August 21 Total Solar Eclipse

Picture P71Honestly, I am really looking forward to this day. People do not like changes… because of the uncertainty, but despite all the difficulties that we can face, this day is a special day that marks the beginning of going forwards to a new stage in the Time cycle. Your personal cycle, depending on the progressions of your natal Moon, may differ from the Saros cycle; nevertheless, most people will feel changes in life in the next 2–3 years. It can be quite a small change, for example, something that inspired you yesterday, will leave completely indifferent tomorrow, but it is very very important because actually it is the way to change our preferences, priorities and, accordingly, our life.

This 1N Solar Eclipse is the first in the third and closing Saros cycle in the Leo sign (28° Leo) that is a bridge of the transition to the influence of the Virgo power Continue reading

What was New for June 2017

Picture P68Hello and welcome to astrologic diary here we study the major events of the last month, in astrological terms.

Here are also two my great interests: Politics and Astrology… A strange tandem, isn’t it? Politics as a system of interaction with and within Groups, such peculiar Group management, and Astrology as a way to understand the gist and motivation: how things were, how they are, and how they are yet to be. I wonder, if it is possible to combine Politics and Astrology in a proper form 🙂

Besides this, I do not believe in coincidences. Rather I think that the coincidences are the signs that can specify the right step or the right choice. Our Universe is so synchronized that it would be simply recklessly to ignore the order. Continue reading

What was New for May 2017

What’s Up for May? Jupiter at its best, Saturn rises in the late evening sky, and the Moon dances with the planets © NASA.gov, May 3, 2017

Hello and welcome to astrologic diary here we study the major events of the last month, in astrological terms.

Summer is more than a couple weeks away (astronomically speaking), but one of the sky’s most beloved asterisms the Summer Triangle has already begun to make its appearance in the sky, one bright star after another. The first up in view is Vega, it is visible in the northeast as twilight fades. Next up is Deneb, it rises about an hour after Vega does, depending on your latitude. And third to rise is Altair, it closes the triangle. The Milky Way nearly fills its interior.

On this background… The Presidential campaign in France finished on May 07. The astrological chart below fixes the moment one minute before the polling stations were officially closed. Continue reading

What people think indeed about Astrology

Leonard Susskind, the professor of theoretical Physics at Stanford University:

…There is a philosophy that says that if something is unobservable – unobservable in principle – it is not part of Science. If there is no way to falsify or confirm a hypothesis, it belongs to the realm of metaphysical speculation, together with astrology and spiritualism. By that standard, most of the Universe has no scientific reality – it is just a figment of our imaginations…

Climate in astrological Terms

Picture P62The situation is getting almost crazy and looks like that only someone very lazy does not discuss the global warming. I have also decided to put my two cents in the discussion and add my own idea on this point… An astrological idea, of course, that the precession – the change in orientation of the Earth’s rotational axis – can significantly affect the Earth’s climate. To explain we should begin with Greek philosopher and scientist Aristotle, who was the only authority in Science for nearly two millennia. Continue reading

Numbers in Space: the Titius–Bode law

No solid theoretical explanation underlies the Titius–Bode law, but so far this regularity remains one of most curious in Astronomy. Besides, it has a rather interesting story.

Strictly speaking, the first mention of a series approximating the Titius–Bode law was found in David Gregory’s The Elements of Astronomy published in 1715. In it he says, “…supposing the distance of the Earth from the Sun to be divided into 10 equal parts, of these the distance of Mercury will be about 4, of Venus 7, of Mars 15, of Jupiter 52, and that of Saturn 95…” Continue reading

Spring… Just a short astrological note

Beyond the Blue Horizon

If you follow a daily column with 12 paragraphs of astrological predictions, please be aware that, of course, Sun plays a huge role in our life and, accordingly, in horoscope, but for us, as we are all inhabitants of the “sublunar world”, the location of Moon in horoscope has no less importance… Jupiter is the main planet in our Solar system and, I would say, more powerful in Astrology than Sun… Some sources say (and I find this opinion very interesting) that in fact Neptune in horoscope shows who we really are… Continue reading

Astrologer Suidas, Astronomer Halley, and other stargazers…

Picture P60Ho and Hi, the Drunk Astronomers

“Here lie the bodies of Ho and Hi,

Whose fate, though sad, was visible;

Being slain because they could not spy

Th’ eclipse which was invisible…”

The story of Ho and Hi may be a real or fiction since its author is unknown. However, it refers to the Solar Eclipse of 2136 BC or 2159 BC: the royal astronomers Ho and Hi were drunk and failed to predict the eclipse, so that the people did not prepare to drive away the dragon which caused the eclipse. The astronomers lost their heads… There are different ways to become famous. Continue reading

February 26 Solar Eclipse in USA

Fast and Furious

At first let’s check the previous chart

https://astrologicdiary.wordpress.com/2016/08/11/september-1-solar-eclipse-in-usa/

My teacher in Astrology said that mundane charts should be very simple in interpretation and in many cases they are very close to the “accurate” meaning of what is happening. It really so with this chart, now we know its exact interpretation Continue reading
